A series of flash fiction horrors centered around themed open calls throughout the year. The theme for each submission call is based on the meaning of a randomly selected tarot card.
My Role: Reviewing submissions, collaborating with co-editor to select winning submission, sending acceptances and rejections to authors, communicating copy edits with author, facilitating payment, delivery of contract, and formatting for online publication.

A chapbook of literary poetry and political criticism by author Bruce Burrows. Written in 1995 and published posthumously in 2022 as a tribute to the author.
My Role: Formatting chapbook; designing look and feel of chapbook including font, interior/cover papers, cover design, and overall aesthetic and motif; preparing chapbook for print with local printer; reviewing printer's proofs; hand-binding print run of 50 copies.
EGSC, Chico State English Department // April 2022 // approx. 120 pages
An annual publication of creative writing (fiction and poetry) and scholarly writing (multiple English disciplines) from students who presented in the EGSC Symposium for the corresponding year.
My Role: One of four editors reviewing student submissions, conducting formatting and edits to author's specifications, formatting document for print.
Watershed Review // November 2017
A twice-annual online journal of literary fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Watershed Review is the student-run literary magazine of Chico State and a key part of the Literary Editing and Publishing (LEAP) certificate program.
My Role: One of a small team of student editors reviewing poetry submissions for the fall 2017 issue of Watershed Review. Participated in editorial discussions of contending works, selected winning pieces, crafted high-tier rejections, and formatted accepted poems in HTML for online publication.
